Special Projects happening on the lake.

Get The Lead Out – Summer 2021 Initiative

CLAA has joined together with the MPCA, DNR, USGS and USFWS to push this three-year initiative forward. The goal of this project is to reduce loon mortality and increase reproductive success of common loons in eight Minnesota counties, including Cass, Aitkin, Becker, Beltrami, Clearwater, Crow Wing, Hubbard and Itasca.

When cleaning out your tackle box at the end of the fishing season, take a moment and put aside those old lead sinkers and lures
and recycle with us.

Contact us, and we’ll do an exchange with new lead-free tackle!
